Khan Academy

Khan Academy
I'm sure there are many people out there who have heard of Khan Academy. For those who haven't, it is a brilliant organisation that offers online lessons for free. There are an abundance of maths and science lessons and a decent amount of history lessons. There are also test-prep courses for students and resources for educators. This site has very basic lessons all the way up to much more advanced lessons. For example, one of the first maths lessons starts with an explanation of the simple equation "1+1=2". In contrast, some of the later calculus lessons explain Divergence Theorem and multiple integrals. It is quite clear that this site is usable by nearly everyone, regardless of their proficiency in these subjects, or lack of. To encourage learning, you can earn badges for completing videos and courses, and points for quick and efficient learning. And, yes, there is a badge for completing the entire collection of courses.
