Letter To A Friend

Dear Friend,
What is your dream for your life, if I may ask?  Whatever it may be, focus on that and that alone.  Don't worry about what other people think.  I remember always worrying about the other kids in school and trying to fit in.  Just be yourself and do what needs to be done to reach YOUR goals.  You are your own best friend.
Find a place that is yours.  I used to go to the beach or the mountains.  I would sit, and swim and enjoy the beach and it would rejuvenate me.  Or, I would head on up to the mountains and go hiking until I couldn't hike anymore.  If I could talk to that girl that I was, I would tell her to do that more.  We must embrace each moment and be happy in the NOW.  I would tell her not to worry so much.  I would tell her that every person you meet is important and to talk to them and learn from them.  I would tell myself that I should smile and be nice to more people and most importantly I would tell her that true happiness comes from helping others.
Have you heard that song, Don't Worry, Be Happy?  If you can, listen to it.

 I read an inspirational quote recently.  It said,

"If you are depressed you are living in the past,
 If you have anxiety you are living in the future,
 If you have PEACE you are living in the PRESENT!"
Be thankful for your past (no matter what has happened), because you are WHO YOU ARE today because of it.  No one really KNOWS what will happen in the future, so we must take TODAY and do the best we can to make it GOOD, HAPPY, and PEACEFUL for us and for the other people we meet and know.  Rise above the NORM (meaning, don't do what everyone else does, be different, be WHO YOU REALLY ARE!)
