I did a Google search on Passion and found many self-help sites telling us to follow our passions and they also gave their definitions of what passion means to them.
Urban Dictionary has tons of definitions on the word Passion. Urban Dictionary is the dictionary you write. Define your world! I am not sure if I agree with all of them. Some of their definitions make it seem like Passion is something you can optimize, something you can make. I always understood Passion to be something within your being. It is already there and at times you really have no choice in the matter. Like falling in love with someone, it is just there and no one or nothing can make it happen or "unhappen". Just thinkin' here...
Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of YOU into what you do.
Simply put, it's being who you are and doing what comes naturally. When what you do is in alignment with who you are, you get energy from doing it. It's like water flowing along its natural riverbed. It actually gains energy from the path it's taking (compare that to what most people experience in their work, which is more like trying to force it up and over a mountain).
