Well, this morning we had no Internet service. I know, what a horrible nightmare. Just about everything we have is hooked up to the Internet. So, no +Netflix either, no nothing really, ha ha ha. Since we had a ton of meat from our B.B.Q. yesterday I was able to make a few things that were pretty cool. They turned out pretty good too. Check out my other blog We Must Eat and Drink.
After I was done cooking, I cleaned the kitchen and did up some of the dishes that never really get around to getting in the dishwasher, like the microwave cover and my colander and a few others. After that I was going to vacuum, but the Internet guy finally came. Actually he came pretty quickly. I guess people need Internet more than electricity and water. We have had no electricity for longer THAT that AND no water too. It's no fun without either. Everyone ends up in the living room and we actually sit around and talk to each other when we have no electricity. When we have no water we end up leaving to go use the restroom somewhere, anywhere. Lately though I have put a few gallon used bleach containers filled with tap water in the bathrooms, so we can flush if we have to. I have candles all over the house too and flashlights in every nook and cranny, just in case.
But what do you do to prepare for no Internet service? Well, it seems you can always clean, cook or catch up on those little odd jobs you just never get around to. I don't wish it upon you or anyone for that matter, but I guess we do have to lose something to appreciate it.
