Essential Utensils

So excited!  I was able to get some Essential Utensils today at the +Dollar Tree.

 Lemon Squeezer - Garlic Press

I have always wanted a lemon squeezer and Garlic Press.  I can't wait to use them.

Ice Cream Scoop - Peeler with Brush - Spoon Rest

We had an ice cream scoop but it was plastic and you guessed it, it broke.  Since then I have learned that you always dip your ice cream scoop into hot water before you scoop your ice cream.  If you dip it each time for each scoop, the ice cream will come out easily and no-broken-scoop.  I am excited because this one is metal, so I am hoping it will hold the heat better for easier scooping.


The brush and peeler in one utensil are pretty cool.  I don't normally peel my veggies, but sometimes you just have to peel a little off of them, and they may need a good scrub as well.  There are some things you HAVE to peel like ginger root, turnips or taro, so it will definitely come in handy then.



The spoon rest is something I should have gotten a long, long time ago.  It will be nice to just pop it into the dishwasher instead of scrubbing up dried on sauces, etc.

Silicone Basting Brush

I can't wait to use this when we BBQ.  I have some great sauce to baste it with!
So, I am pretty happy with all of my new stuff and I will be using it all very soon.
